After 37years, in 1986 the district and sessions judge of Faizabad gave the Hindu supporters the permission to the Hindu prayer. Against which the Muslim supporters formed a Babri Masjid Action Committee. By 1989, the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid controversy was made a political issue by the Bharatiya Janata Party for the upcoming elections. On 27th September 1990, BJP leader L.K. Adani started the historic rath yatra of Ayodhya from Somnath. By October, the air of the Hindutva motto had spread all over the nation.
