A peculiarly quiet and deserted lane inside a densely populated slum area in Bombay of yore as filmed in the early 2000's. Garbage strewn everywhere and crows in large numbers can be heard near the dumpsites. Few residents can be seen cycling past the camera. Is there a Bombay bandh happening or is there a strike, hartal or other occurrence in place? What would explain the silence and few people on the streets?
