These first year juvenile Demoiselle Cranes have accompanied their adult crane parents on their first winter migration across the Himalaya, to come to winter in north India, at Khichan Village in Rajasthan. The juveniles bear a grey neck with modest feathers, as opposed to the black neck with prominent white streaming feathers across the cheeks.
