Many farmers are cutting forest and turning away from pineapple and traditional crops to grow Palm Oil. The gestation period to revenue is long but the promise of high earnings is the lure. Many Indian edible cooking oil manufacturers such as Ruchi Soya are looking to source Palm Oil from Arunachal Pradesh in India.
