A typical Kumaon village in the Champawat district around Almora in Uttarkhand. Note the slate roofs and the traditional pahari architecture. Monsoon season brings about a makeover for the Himalaya. The forests are clean and green, monsoonal water streams start flowing from the peaks. It gets a bit difficult to go out as it can rain recklessly but still, worth the experience to go out and get wet.
