Shivling at Tapovan in the Gangotri group of peaks is clearly visible near the snout of the Gangotri Glacier. Manda, Thalay Sagar, Bhrigu, Baby Shivling, Gangotri I, Gangotri II, Gangotri III peaks can also be seen here. Bhrigu is the peak connected to Manda by a long narrow ridge. Akash Ganga river flows towards Gaumukh can be spotted.
