The Chambal is a tributary of the Yamuna and flows through the dry states of Northern India. It is one of the cleanest perennial rivers in the Gangetic Plains. Cattle herders from the ravines bring their cattle near the river to take respite from the dry sunny terrain. Buffaloes take a dip in the river as the herders look for their other cattle.
