I began playing when I was six just kind of a not very seriously and I began studying seriously when I was eight that's the way it is and other western tradition and think it's true here too you begin very young, in fact when I went to music school I went to the Juilliard School in New York comparing my experiences of my friends, when they told me again when I was eight they thought I had started late many had begun with four, five or six and they were surprised that I was able to do as much as I did because I had started at such a late age the formation has happened very young in the classical western tradition I began as a flutist and at fifteen I switched to Piano and to or composition but I continue to play the flute until I was about thirty and I eventually and as you may know withou
