Are these wasps or hornets that have built these beautiful artistic nests / hives? We spotted these at our conservation lands in the western Himalaya, at the wildfilmsindia sanctuary along the Dehradun-Dhanaulti Highway near Bataghat | Uttarakhand. Hornets or 'Vespa' are the largest eusocial wasps there are. Their venom is mostly not toxic to humans but the amount of venom per sting can prove to be pretty harmful.
