Individuals of different species of vultures are feeding on the carrion of a cattle in Sikkim. Slender-billed vultures (Gyps tenuirostris) and juvenile Red-headed Vulture or Asian King vulture are identified among the crowd of vultures. Vultures are scavengers who feed on animal carrion and also trash. India has seen a decline in the population of vultures which can be attributed to the use of the drug Diclofenac in cattle and other livestock.
