A long stretch of road in Goa, and a hilly windy road leading to a small church compound atop a hill. The agricultural fields seem to have had a lot of crop burning, as they are black with burned crop residue. It seems Goan farmers also burn their crop residue but air pollution isn't such a problem here due to the daily sea breeze and reversal of winds. Air pollution and crop burning in Goa. Goa is a very green area, and apart from the more obvious social hubs, there are vast stretches of green, agriculture, bird and wildlife sanctuaries, riverine estauries and mangroves as well. This is a road that is surrounded by coconut palms and agriculture, leading to a church on top of a hill. As evinced by the burned fields, obviously crop burning is also practiced here.
