Deadlock in the state of Uttar Pradesh seems to be moving towards a solution. With the judgement of the Allahabad High Court on 19th of December that quashed the proclamation of the President's rule in the state and held Governor Umesh Bhandari responsible for not trying enough to install a popular government. But even as political parties were facing mix reactions, the supreme court admitted a special leave petition moved by the Center on December 20th granting a stay on the execution of High court order. The apex court however clarified that the stay should not stop the governor from exploring the possibility of forming the government.
