Bangles, also known as churi or Choodi in hindi, are traditional ornaments worn mostly by South Asian women in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.The wearing of he bangles is a major ritual of the marriage ceremony and are accompanied with ritualistic songs and dances and other festivities. They are used profusely by married women and are worn on every significant occasion. Bangles also have a very traditional value in Hinduism and it is considered inauspicious to be bare armed for a married woman.Toddler to older woman could wear bangles based on the type of bangles.
