They may appear to be Lotus flowers, but in fact they are Water lily from South America. These are all seen in a city garden in New Delhi. One can also see Lantana camera, another plant that is not native to India, and Red Passion Flower, also not native to India. Then comes a yellow Hibiscus which is perhaps native to Hawaii. Lastly, one sees the flowers and seed pods of the Lemon grass. So all these plants at the Wilderness Orchard are not indigenous! Only the Lemon grass comes close, as it grows wild in some parts of Asia and India as well! According to Wikipedia: "Cymbopogon (lemongrass) is a genus of about 55 species of grasses, (of which the type species is Cymbopogon citratus) native to warm temperate and tropical regions of the Old World and Oceania. It is a tall perennial grass. C
