Quite the butterfly shrub of India, even if it has invaded forest habitats across the country and taken over the habitats of indigenous Indian shrubs. Lantana bush blooming in late summer in Delhi. These thorny bushes are common in gardens and parks as hedges and for landscaping purposes. The flowers are small with multiple colours which make a single inflorescence. They propagate easily and do not need much maintenance and extra care and hence they grow fast and spread to other areas in the garden or forest. They may also threaten other species and invade the space of other plants.
