This lively river originates in Wayanad District of Kerala state, south India. The river is nourished by the water of flowing Panamaram River and Mananthavady River. Then it runs towards east to join the Kaveri River at Tirumakudal Narasipur in Karnataka. Finally the river merges into the Bay of Bengal. While flowing by the town of H D Kote this wonderful river forms the giant Kabini Reservoir. The backwoods of this reservoir are highly enriched
