Plastic sheets and tarpaulin roofs seem to be standard issue at Cherrapunji market in Meghalaya, India, where almost daily rain is a way of life... Women stand outside, with umbrellas, selling their green leafy vege wares. Life goes on for the people who inhabit one the world's wettest towns- Cherrapunji. Taxis are parked at their usual spots waiting for passengers. Children play in the streets. People shop. And behind the hustle-bustle, the mist rises to meet the clouds.
