Military marching contingents and bands take part in preparations for India’s Republic Day Parade in New Delhi. A large contingent of personnel marches in precise formation along the ceremonial parade route, wearing khaki uniforms, white gaiters and blue-and-white striped turbans with fan-shaped plumes. A military marching band moves along Kartavya Path, formerly Rajpath, with musicians wearing red ceremonial tunics with gold detailing and traditional headgear while playing brass and percussion instruments. An Indian Navy contingent is also seen marching in formation, with personnel wearing dark ceremonial uniforms, white peak caps, white belts and white trousers. Spectator stands and parade infrastructure are visible along the route during the rehearsal.
