Leucas aspera, various studies has shown that Leucas aspera has many medicinal properties and is used in many health conditions like cough, cold, rheumatism etc. In Siddha practice, the moolam / mallam of this plant is crushed and boiled with water the steam is then used for inhalation in conditions like nasal congestion, cough, cold, fever, headache etc. In Ayurveda Hibiscus is considered to have great medicinal properties, the roots are used to make various concoctions believed to cure ailments such as hair loss, hair grain as a hair treatment. The flowers are boiled in oil along other spices to make medicated hair oil, the leaves and flowers are ground into a fine paste with a little water resulting lathery paste is used as a shampoo plus conditioner.
