These bridges, like our dams, are the temples of modern India, one could say. Yet they reveal an alarming picture of neglect and of the abuse of our rivers, like nothing else. The detergent foam and untreated chemical effluent that is flowing down our rivers has turned them into dead drains of dewerage and waste. A true pity for modern India's capital city with this sight right next to the seat of governance and power.
