Kavita Krishnamurthy says "I would like to thank Laxmikant–Pyarelal Ji for introducing me to Subhash Ji. I used to dub many years ago for films since a female voice with emotions was required for the heroines so I used to sing the song and then I Lata Ji came and recorded her own thing. This streak continued because of the work that I did with Laxmikant–Pyarelal. During those days, Meri Jung was being made when Subhash Ghai came to the studio and I started singing for him. Even then I was singing it for dubbing purposes but Subhash Ji used my lines and that made me what I am today." Kavita Krishnamurthy is an Indian film playback singer who has sung songs in Hindi, Telugu, Marathi, English, Urdu, Bengali, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Gujarati, Nepali, Bengali, Konkani and Odiya Etc.
