"We get so many letters from across India, asking us to call Kavitaji to our show", says the show's presenter! She sings us a few lines from the Bollywood movie Devdas. She says: "For me, one benefit one I had when I entered the industry in the late 1970's and early 1980's, I used to dub songs which eventually got sung by Lataji (Lata Mangeshkar). Hawa Hawaii also I sand in those days. They warned me they may not use my voice. Lakshmikant-ji called me some months later to tell me that they had kept my voice! Sharada (born 25 January 1958), known as Kavita Krishnamurthy or Kavita Subramaniam, is an Indian playback and classical singer.
