Wheat husking or removal of husk takes place in full galore at Abohar town in Punjab. Punjab is one of the most prosperous states in India. Punjab has perhaps the largest scale of agriculture in India, permitting for large scale mechanized agriculture. A lot of labour comes in from across India during the harvest season to aid in the process of crop recovery. Abohar Is a leading place in Punjab for Agricultural research of the region.This research started with the establishment of Regional Fruit Research Station in 1964 which was officially inaugurated in 1969.
