The old Himachal slate-roofed homes are giving way to concretized homes with tin roofs and multiple water tanks, parking lots and much cementing, thanks to apply orchard money coming into the hinterland. See these mountain bikers cross the apple orchard belt of Himachal, around Theog and Narkanda, as they race to their journey's end, through interesting middle Himalayan orcharding countryside. The mini jeep-truck carrying apply crates patiently waits for the bikers to proceed, and politely follows them, without blowing its horn and rushing ahead! Note the nets placed atop the apple trees to protect the crop from unseasonal hailstones and possibly also monkey attacks.
