Peony buds begin to appear at the Himalayan Peony farm as part of the Wilderness Orchard and botanical gardens of wildfilmsindia in Mussoorie, in Uttarakhand. It's spring-time and April is when the buds begin to appear, in time for end April and early May flowering. Lady birds / ladybugs seem to enjoy sitting on the mature buds, perhaps for the sap they contain? Do the peony buds look almost magnolia-like in this video? Nope, that is actually an apple bloom that is verging on opening!
