A female Nilgai grazing in the middle of the city in New Delhi near IIT Delhi. Flapping its ears to shoo off flies, the largest Asian antelope concentrates on grazing and does not seem to mind the camera. The animal seem unfazed by the traffic either. An escape from the Delhi Ridge near JNU, this Bluebull antelope (Boselaphus tragocamelus) lives around the Indian Institute of Technology, on an urban scholarship. It is not expected that Delhi will have any wildlife but it is actually rich in urban birds and animals, butterflies. The Nilgai is even found in college campuses and public parks in Delhi.
