Rowing boat on the holy ghats of Ganges at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Foreigner tourists take boat ride along Vijayanagram Ghat and Kedar ghat. One of the tourists wave on camera. Some of Hindu devotees take holy dip in the River Ganga. Vijayanagram ghat was made pucca in the year 1890 by the Vijayanagaram State of South India. At the top of it is Svami Karapatri Asrama. Close by to this building are the shrines of Nilakantha and Nispapesvara. Kedar Ghat, situated in the southern part of the destination, was built by the Maharaja of Vijayanagar. The ghat is named after Lord Shiva, who is also known as ‘Kedarnath'.
