Nandprayag Sangam, where the turquoise waters of the Alaknanda River meet the sediment-rich Nandakini River in the Garhwal Himalayas. The distinct colour contrast between the two rivers is visible at the confluence point as the waterways merge through the rocky valley terrain. A boat-shaped concrete ghat and temple complex stand at the junction of the rivers, featuring red paving, small shaded structures, and sparse trees along the platform. Large grey boulders and rugged riverbanks surround both channels, while dry hillsides with scattered vegetation rise above the Sangam area. Nandprayag is one of the sacred Panch Prayag confluences associated with the Alaknanda river system in Uttarakhand.
