Coracle fishing boat, Kabini river, Karnataka, India. The coracle is a small, lightweight boat. Oval in shape and very similar to half a walnut shell, the structure is made of a framework of interwoven bamboo, waterproofed by using resin and coconut oil. The structure has a keel-less, flat bottom to evenly spread the weight of the boat and its load across the structure and to reduce the required depth of water — often to only a few inches, making it ideal for use on rivers. According to Wikipedia: "The Deccan Mahseer Tor khudree is a large freshwater game fish of the Carp family found in fast flowing rivers of India. The local name is Mahseer or Maha seer and this was considered as one of the greatest of game fish in India. Found throughout India, but found of the largest size and in the
