Workers at a factory in Meerut are pouring the concrete mix into the mould for making poles. After the mix is poured inside the mould the surface is levelled and holes drilled into it when it becomes a semisolid state. The labourers have no protective gloves and touch the cement mix with their bare hands. These cement poles are used for heavy duty purposes like in electricity poles, fence posts and railway tracks etc. These cement poles are also used in underwater construction so as to prevent corrosion in case of metals.
