It was supposed to be his last day in office but true to his unpredictable style, Chief Election Commissioner Mr. TN Seshan stayed home and disappointed the battery of cameramen and journalists waiting for the photo opportunity. Ultimately the consolation came in the form of a press conference by the newly appointed Chief Election Commissioner Mr. MS Gill who took over from Mr. Seshan this week. Mr. Gill along with Mr. GVG Krishnamurty were the other two members in the multi-member election commission.
