BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd.) completes Panipat Thermal Power Plant on time. The Haryana Power Generation Corporation spent 28crore on this project. Panipat Thermal Power Station is a unit of Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited. Thermal Power Station Panipat, a bunching of eight individual units with total installed capacity of 1360 MW is located about 8 KM in the west of Panipat city on Panipat- Hisar National Highway and is surrounded by cultivated green fields. In addition, 640 acres of saline waste land is earmarked for disposal of ash. The plant is equipped with a huge residential colony to ensure availability of staff and officers round the clock.
