Lotha are well known for their cultural dances and folk songs,the male members wear shawl indicating their statutes. Tokhu emong the festival of Lotha means resting before feasting hence a post harvest break from field work.Unlike other festivals Tokhu Emong bar villagers for fishing, hunting and travelling. In the olden days experts handling of doas and weapons were excepted from all men. So young boys were trained up for hunting animals. Nagaland, 'The Land of Festivals' and the warm naga people, lies in the North Eastern part of India. Historically, the Nagas are known as headhunters and have always been brave warriors.
