A local vegetable market in Meerut features several small vendor stalls arranged along a paved or concrete ground. A cart covered with a blue tarp displays green vegetables including bitter gourds and eggplants, while larger stalls under makeshift wooden and canvas awnings offer potatoes, yellow gourds and leafy greens spread across mats. Vendors tend to their stalls and interact with one another, while several men sit and chat under the shade of the main canopy. Motorcycles and scooters are parked beside the stalls on the right side of the market.
