A rose myrtle lappet moth caterpillar (Trabala vishnou) feeds on a green leaf, removing sections with repeated bites. The caterpillar advances along the edge, leaving a trail of small, irregular bite marks and partially eaten margins. Fine mouthparts cut through the leaf surface in a steady chewing pattern. The feeding activity reduces the leaf area while fragments remain attached along the edges. Close detail highlights texture of the body and the progression of leaf damage.
