The Bauls, a wandering minstrels community of Bengal, who follow a distinctive spiritual and musical tradition that had its roots in the Bhakti and Sufi movement. The Baul genre, recognised among the ‘Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity’ by UNESCO.
