When the Sarod maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan performs he carries a deep Indian spirit, a warm feeling and a sense of caring. Recently this maestro celebrated his fiftieth year of playing the sarod in a concert at the capital. He says," Though I am in the 50th year of my performance career for the date it has been 50 years but for me, I have many things to do. It is a long journey. I have the love of the people of India as well as the world- the people who love music. With their blessings, this journey has reached this point." Amjad Ali Khan Bangash is an Indian classical sarod player, best known for his clear and fast ekhara taans. Khan was born into a classical musical family and has performed internationally since the 1960s. He was awarded India's second highest civilian honour Padma Vibh
