Take a virtual walk around the Lonad Shiv Temple in Thane, Maharashtra. Unkempt, dilapidated and with dried up vegetation growth on the pillars and the rock carvings. Algal blooms on the walls inside the temple. The Shiva lingam made of metal and stone looks rusty as well. Cracks on the stone blocks and it definitely needs attention. Just how old are these rock-cut caves in central India? Near the village of Kalyan in Maharashtra's Thane district are the Lonad Caves which is unique in the fact that it is built under a dome of a large rock. Filmed in the initial days of monsoon, cloudy skies, wet vegetation and a mysterious cave linked to spiritual pioneers from centuries ago.
