A virtual tour of how to reach the Kondeshwar Temple and inside the temple. On a bright sunny day in the early summers, a drive towards Bhoj Village in Badlapur, Maharashtra. Located inside a lust forest in the western Ghats, the Kondeshwar temple is dedicated to lord Shiva. Walk towards the long stairway to reach the main sanctuary of the temple. A Shiva Lingam can be spotted near the steps. Inside the temple are idols of deities that the locals worship decorated in garlands. We take a look inside the rock-cut sanctum with a Shiva Lingam or phallus decorated in flowers, water dripping off the roof, a pot hanging above the lingam and temple bells.
