Regarded as one of the most beautiful actresses in the Indian film industry, Madhubala was best remembered for her portrayal of Anarkali in the epic historical drama Mughal-e-Azam. The iconic actress was known for playing a damsel in distress in most of her movies and soon attained the title of 'The Beauty with Tragedy'. Some of her most notable and popular movies are Badal, Tarana, Mr. & Mrs. '55, Howrah Bridge, Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi, and Barsaat Ki Raat. Unfortunately, the actress was diagnosed with a ventricular septal defect, a hole in her heart, which was detected in 1954 but her condition worsened by 1960.
