Four bridges have been built over Tawi river in Jammu city: Two join Gumat with Vikram Chowk and the other connects Gujjar Nagar with Bahu fort area, the third joins Bhagwati Nagar with Ratnuchak. A fifth bridge has been built on the river on the city bypass near Nagrota. Jammu is situated at the footsteps of the mountains. Its a beautiful city with Tawi river flowing right through the middle. Jammu is called as the "City of Temples" because of the fact that there are limitless number of temples around the city and also in the province.
