Berberis aristata also known as Kashmal or Kingor in Uttarakhad, is an important source of Vitaman C and also numerous drugs and ayurvedic preparations such as Liv52 which is used to treat liver problems. Birds love to feast on the berries, too! This shrub was filmed at the Wilderness Orchard and botanical gardens in Uttarakhand.
