See a wonderful aerial view of Thiksay Monastery located on top of a hill in Thiksey village, a dry and dusty slope located above the road leading from Shey and Leh to Pangong and Hemis. Thiksey is connected with blacktop roads, and lots of people visit Thiksay monastery especially during the Buddhist festivals. Pristine Pangong Lake is surrounded with bare mountains and and lies partially in Tibet and partly in India - a massive body of water at an altitude of around 14 to 15, 000 feet.
