A top angle shot of the highway leading to Sarai Kale Khan Village in South Delhi. The street looks deserted with just a few vehicles passing. A water tanker truck and employees of the Municipal corporation are watering the plants between the two lanes of the highway. The employee sprays jets of fresh water on the plants with a hosepipe. What a waste of diesel and water to water such scant plants on the mediums and verges of our roads, in the peak of summer heat when water is in such short supply. And then we're producing diesel fumes as well, not to mention the high cost of the vehicles, driver and fuel just to water these plants.
