India is not new to Sundials - we have used them since olden times. From centuries ago India has inherited the Jantar Mantar in Delhi and Jaipur which are one of the biggest in the world. A lesser known structure in New Delhi is this Sundial named 'The Sun Dial' at Barapullah in Sarai Kale Khan. The structure is considered as one of the biggest and accurate sundials. It has been put into place by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) just before the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
