Stuffed parantha, one of the specialities of Paranthe wali Gali is being prepared. The dough is kneaded and then stuffings of aloo or potatoes and other things are stuffed to be made into a lip smacking delicious hot parantha in the frontier of the shop. The paranthas are then deep fried in desi ghee or hot oil to be served to numbers of people crowding the small shop of the famous Paranthe wali Gali. Paranthe wali Gali is one of the narrow bylanes of Chandni Chowk.Paranthas are a type of unleavened bread stuffed with vegetables or sweets & then shallow fried in Desi Ghee (clarified butter). The Paranthe Wali Gali hosts three shops (earlier there were about 20, but many closed down during the 1980s) that offer about 20 varieties of Paranthas.
