As India celebrates its 74th Independence Day on the 15th of August, 2020, the streets of New Delhi is swarming with vendors selling the national flag. Men, women and children are seen on footpaths with the National Flag counting on motorists and passersby to make money on Independence Day. Vehicles bearing the National Flag can be seen passing by. Homeless children with mini versions of the National Flag interact with the camera. Young boys and girls are seen bearing the national flag waiting for customers. The irony is that these homeless vendors are selling the national flag of a free and independent India. Is the state to be blamed for the thousands on the streets of major cities in India? Is this the vision and achievement of a 'Free India'? Are we really free? This footage is part of
