Amid the Corona Pandemic, the Haridwar in Kumbh Mela in all its pomp and auspiciousness is underway in 2021. One of the notable participation in this largest Hindu festival is the Kinnar Akhada, a newly formed religious order of the Hijras or transvestites. A helicopter showers the devotees with flower petals from above. Rights activist of the Hijra community, Laxmi Narayan Tripathi is seen among the huge crowd of devotees who are showered with flower petals from a helicopter flying overhead.
