The lieutenant governor of Delhi, Anil Baijal visits the Shri Jagannath Rath Yatra 2018. Amidst the tight security protection, he reaches the Yatra in a black car. Along with the bodyguards he comes to get a glimpse of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balaram and Mata Subhadra accompanied with his wife. The police and his bodyguards surround him and take him to the chariots. The organises throws flowers in his path as he walks in order to welcome him. One of the organisers puts a garland of flower on his and his wife's neck as he visits the temple to get a glimpse of the Lord Jagannath. Anil Baijal is a retired 1969 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) batch officer, who replaces Najeeb Jung as lieutenant governor of Delhi. Rath Yatra is the biggest event in the entire system of Shri Jagannath Culture.
