A seasoned collector carefully examines mature, dried flower heads hidden among tall grasses, identifying seed pods that have reached the ideal stage for collection. Using a simple repurposed container, the collector selectively gathers viable seeds while leaving many others behind to naturally regenerate the surrounding habitat. This traditional method helps preserve the genetic diversity of wild plant populations and provides a sustainable source of seeds for future propagation. Close-up views reveal the textures of dried seed heads, native grasses, and the careful process of harvesting nature's next generation.
